About IBS, Ltd.
International Broadcasting Services (IBS) started out in 1970 providing specialized guidance and proprietary information for international broadcasters. The team’s strong resources in advanced-technology management, software development, international broadcasting and shortwave engineering led to its developing the world’s most accurate and complete database of international broadcasting operations.
In 1982, it was decided to make portions of IBS’ specialized information available to the public. The result was the 1984 edition of RADIO DATABASE INTERNATIONAL. Response to the book was overwhelming, so in subsequent editions the content was greatly expanded and refined, resulting in the first annual PASSPORT TO WORLD BAND RADIO in 1988. PASSPORT TO WORLD BAND RADIO has gone on to become the best-selling shortwave publication in history.
