It is unfortunate that the manufacturers of these SDRs either cannot or will not design them to be “operating system” neutral. I see that the specifications of this one, like all others I have seen, specify a few versions of Windows.
What about those people who use Mac?
And what about ME? I use the Ubuntu version of Linux, in my opinion a far superior operating system, much, much better than any Windows version I have used (I have no experience with Windows 7) and at the very least as good as Mac (probably better).
While I do own a couple of “ancient” Windows machines, they are on their last legs and I wouldn’t buy any peripheral, especially an expensive peripheral, to use with them.
Until the SDR manufacturers decide to design their equipment to work with Ubuntu Linux (or Linux in any form), I personally will have no interest in these radios.
